Here are 2 questions:
(1) I understand that I can write off business expenses on my tax returns. That includes computer equipment, trips overseas to purchase merchandise, etc. But I’ve never itemized my tax return before. Would I get more money back if I start a business, and then itemize my deductions rather than just taking the default deduction like I always do?

(2) If I make my online selling into an official business, will I have to pay extra business-related taxes?

I watched watchdog on bbc tv last night and it would seem that some sellers are bullying people who leave negs to retract them ,if they want a refund for thier goods.
I reported something along these lines to ebay about 6 months ago when i had problems with goods i bought and left a neg.

I did not receive the goods after 2 weeks and my emails went unanswered ,left a neg,then i had a threat from the powerseller that i would not receive any refund unless i retracted the neg. ,

I contacted ebay and paypal
yet ebay did not act nor did they seem to care ,but now because it’s been on tv they come over like “shock horror ,this is against ebay rules,we must take action”
So do ebay only care after they have been on TV?

While I was browsing the web I found a site made by someone who thinks they ae the worlds leading authority on autographs. He decided to post links and pictures of items on Ebay including some of my items. He states that my items are FORGERIES. This of coursde is not true and I have documented proof. This person is hurting my reputation and my livleyhood. He is steering customers away from me by posting false infomation. Is there anything I can do about this?

Im a ebay powerseller-After receiving several BS violations, like copyright infringement and unauthorized item, my account is about to be closed. Once ebay flags you for a violation-its downhill from there. My pictures and items are all legally within there rights, but Im having problems still getting them to help me. I am working on opening a new account-went and opened bank account in another state, ebay, paypal and yahoo email account with different address-but still my name. Is this enough or will I get nailed from my IP address? Anyone know any helpful tips on how to get another account opened without it being traceable to ebay using my same computer? In seven years of selling I have a 99.7% feedback-only 1 negative-so please I dont want to hear about people who have bad buying experiences-people just dont w/ me-Im a good seller/person stuck on ebays black list.
